Hold On A Little Longer

By J.D. Moss

 The lonely mist of darkness,

Hangs heavy on my soul.

Frustration builds inside of me.

Feels like I’m going to explode.

Torn between two directions.

I just wish it would let me go.

Mind is filled with hate and anger.

Smothered by the love I’ve known.

Needing some type of understanding.

Tired of traveling the same road.

I want to lose myself, in the water.

Numb my fears with the cold.

The confusion won’t last forever,

In time the hurt will fade.

Small rays of warmth escape,

The cloud covered day.

Wade it through past the hour.

And the black will turn to gray.

Hold on just a little bit longer.

Don’t let go of your soul.

Hold on just a little bit longer.

The feeling will subside.

Hold on just a little bit longer.

Don’t lose total control.

Hold on just a little bit longer.

The feeling will subside.

The feeling will subside.
